Clinical Assessment Module 9 - Arterial blood gasses
This is the ninth CPD module on Clinical Assessment. This module comprises an educational video presentation by Simon Plapp, followed by a short assessment and further reading. It focuses onaccurately interpreting acid-base balance for homeostasis, the interpretation of arterial blood gas analyses, understanding the pathophysiology of respiratory acidosis, and understanding the pathophysiology of metabolic acidosis.
This series of modules has been created due to the needs of the Covid-19 crisis, to support members in updating their clinical assessment skills. Members can use ten of their $400 CPD credit given to them each year by the ANMF Victorian Branch as part of their membership benefits to purchase this module. An additional $60 CPD credit has been given to members by the Branch to assist them to purchase these modules.
