Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes accounting for 85-90% of cases and is seen to be the most challenging chronic health condition currently being faced in the world. It has reached epidemic proportions in Victoria, Australia and the world. It is often mistakenly considered to be less serious than Type 1 diabetes, however, in Australia diabetes is the leading cause of end stage renal disease, non-traumatic lower limb amputation, eye disease and psychological stress.
