Introduction to the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC)


Note: This course will be delivered remotely via Zoom. This seminar will give participants an introduction to the new Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC). After attending this one day seminar, participants should:
- Understand the status of the current aged care landscape including philosophy of care and funding parameters.
- Be aware of a brief history of aged care funding arrangements.
- Become more familiar with the new AN-ACC funding instrument including philosophy, emphasis, tools and mechanism of implementation.
- Be able to devise and influence emphases of care to maximise resident quality of life while attracting appropriate levels of funding.
This course is suitable for registered and enrolled nurses.
Facilitator: Phillip Allardyce (RN BN MN) has 27 years of diverse nursing experience. He has a passion for provision of high quality person centred care that values the unique contribution each person makes to society and culture. He values the contribution made by managers, health care professionals and carers to those receiving support from the aged care sector.
