Ageing and mental health - a course for nurses and personal care workers
According to the National Ageing Research Institute more than 50 percent of our aged care residents have depression or anxiety, or both conditions. Often these residents (just under 50 percent) enter our aged care facilities with these pre-existing conditions.
Aged care workers, including nurses and personal care workers, require the skills and knowledge to assess and manage their clients’ mental health problems, whether out in the community or in our aged care facilities. These skills are critical to ensure best health outcomes for our ageing population.
Member $200, non-member $280, Job Rep $190, 20 November 2019 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
