Medication administration - principles and practice revisited

Medication therapy is the most common treatment used in health care and therefore may also be associated with higher incidence of harm (Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, 2017).  Together, the ACSQHC and leaders of health care organisations are working to improve the safety and quality of medication use.  This two-day workshop is designed to address current trends and best practice in safe medication administration, medication management and documentation for all nurses and midwives.  Topics will include pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, medication calculations and parenteral administration.  You will have practical experience in the ANMF Simulation Centre using IV pumps, syringe drivers and PCA systems.  This course is designed to support the new practitioner and update the experienced ones.

Member $400 non-member $550, Job Rep $380

Please note this seminar runs over two days, 25 November and 2 December 2019, 9.30am to 4.30pm
