Paediatric ALS certification: two-day program
This practical and theoretical program provides training for nurses and midwives in paediatric basic and advanced life support in a clinical setting. The program content runs over two days with certification for both BLS and ALS on the second day. It is based on the latest Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and incorporates theoretical lectures, clinical skill stations and scenarios. Registration includes a program manual and e-learning material.

The program is most suitable for those with little or no experience or knowledge of paediatric ALS or those wanting a comprehensive update. It is also suitable for experienced Adult ALS trained healthcare professionals requiring paediatric ALS certification.
A total of 16 CPD hours is assigned to this program (based on 12 hours program contact and four hours self-directed learning). Attendees can test their knowledge by completing the electronic pre-test prior to the day. The pre-test and the paediatric PDR ALS interactive program manual are emailed approximately one month prior to course commencement.
This course is suitable for registered nurses, enrolled nurses and midwives.
