Are you a registered nurse but it’s been a while since you worked in an acute setting?

Refresh your acute practice skills with our two-day workshop.

• Day 1: Clinical assessment using scenarios. Prepare yourself for patient care during acute clinical deterioration using theoretical and simulated exercises.
• Day 2: Apply professional and safety standards, law and ethics. Refresh yourself with professional/organisational policies and procedures.

Requirements

Suitable for all registered nurses (including mental health nurses),  and enrolled nurses. However, you cannot enrol if you:

• are not currently registered with AHPRA
• have tested positive to COVID-19 and are still within the mandatory isolation period and have not been cleared by public health authorities to resume normal activities
• have been in direct close contact with someone who has tested positive to COVID-19 (i.e. more than 15 minutes face to face contact, more than 2 hours in restricted space)
• have travelled recently overseas and have not completed the mandatory 14-day isolation
• have any flu-like symptoms including fever over 37.3°C, cough, sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath/respiratory distress.
